Three Card Poker, also known as Tri Card Poker, has become increasingly popular in South Korea recently due to its easy-to-learn rules. Players of Three Card Poker compete against the dealer. The goal is to have a hand that scores higher than the dealer’s. In order to play the game, players must first place a bet in the designated areas on the online table. The bet is placed on the Ante (the initial bet placed) and Play (the bet that can be placed only after the player has seen their cards). The dealer then deals 3 face down cards to each player and 3 face down cards to themselves. Players then have the option to either fold or raise.
If a player folds, they forfeit their wager. If a player raises, they must place an additional bet the same amount as the ante. Players must use their three cards and the dealers three cards to form the highest hand possible. The hands are ranked in the following order; royal flush (highest), straight flush, three of a kind, straight, flush, pair, high card (lowest). After the hands have been compared, if the dealer’s hand does not qualify, all remaining players are paid even money on the Play and Ante bets. If the dealer’s hand qualifies and is higher than the players, the player’s bets are taken. If the players hand is higher than the dealer’s, the player is paid even money on the Ante and on the Play bet according to the paytable. If they have a straight or a better hand they are also paid an ante bonus.
