The rules of Three Card Poker in France are straightforward and easy to learn. Similar to most other casino games, the primary goal of the game is to beat the dealer’s hand. A round of Three Card Poker begins with the player placing an Ante bet, and then deciding whether to raise or fold. If the player decides to raise, the must make a Play bet that is equal to twice the Ante bet. The dealer will then reveal their cards.
If the dealer does not have a Queen or better, the player will win 1 to 1 on their Ante, regardless of their own hand. If the dealer does have a Queen or better, the player will win if their own hand beats the dealer’s hand. The player will lose both the Ante and Play bets if the dealer’s hand is greater than the player’s, or if the dealer has a Queen or better and the player does not.
Players can also choose to place an additional side bet based on the strength of their own hand, even if it does not beat the dealer’s. This side bet offers increasingly higher odds based on the strength of the player’s hand.
