Texas Holdem is the most popular variation of poker, especially at the mobile casinos in the Palestinian Territories. The objective of the game is to make the best possible five-card poker hand by using any combination of two of the playerās hole cards and the five community cards. The player with the best hand wins the pot.
Players begin by placing an ante bet, then are each dealt two hole cards. After the hole cards are revealed, each player can then choose to either fold or continue in the game by making a bet. If all the players except one folds, the player left in the pot receives the pot, and the game is over. Otherwise, if all the players have placed a bet, three community cards, known as the flop, are laid face up on the table. The players can then decide to check (if no bet has been made), call (if a bet has been made and they wish to stay in the game), or raise (if a bet has been made and they wish to increase that bet).
The fourth community card, or the turn, is then revealed and a new round of betting commences. This is followed by the fifth and final community card, or the river, which is revealed. The final round of betting begins and if more than one player is still in the game, the players reveal their hole cards and the player with the best five-card poker hand wins the pot.
