Texas Hold'em, or simply Hold'em, is the most popular variant of poker and can be played at mobile casinos in New Zealand.
As the name implies, Hold'em is a game of two cards which are commonly referred to as hole cards. The remaining five community cards are revealed sequentially. Players must use both their hole cards and the five community cards to make the best five-card poker hand.
The game starts with the two players to the left of the dealer placing their ante bets. After the ante bets are placed, the dealer deals the two hole cards to each player. Players can now check or bet.
If someone bets, then the other players have the option to call or raise. After the pre-flop betting is complete, the dealer reveals the first three community cards, referred to as the flop. Players can now again check or bet.
The action continues with the fourth card, the turn, and the fifth and final card, the river. After the river is revealed, the last round of betting ensues with players having the option to check, bet, call, or raise.
After any remaining players show their hands, the player with the best five-card poker hand wins the pot. In the event of a tie, the pot is divided among the tying players.
