Texas Holdem is a popular variant of poker. It is widely played at mobile casinos in Mauritius. As in any variant of poker, the objective of Texas Holdem is to make the best five-card combination with the two cards the players are dealt with and the five community cards that are dealt in the middle of the table. Each player then bets on their hand and the one with the strongest hand wins.
In Texas Holdem, the dealer deals two hidden pocket cards to every player at the table. The first betting round begins, starting with the player to the left of the big blind. The players can call, raise, or fold their hands. After the first round of betting, the dealer deals three community cards face up in the middle of the table (the flop). The players can again check, call, raise, or fold and the strongest poker hand wins the pot. If more than one player remains after the flop, the dealer deals the fourth community card (the turn) face up in the middle, followed by the fifth (the river) and a final round of betting. At the end of the betting, the player who has the strongest five-card hand wins the pot.
