Texas Holdem is usually played with a standard 52-card deck. The game is quite simple - each player is dealt two cards, face down, and five community cards are shared among the participants. The player who holds the strongest hand at the end of the game is the winner.
In Texas Holdem, players are allowed to use any combination of the five community cards and two hole cards to form their best five-card poker hand. The game begins with two players placing the blind bets - small blind (half the minimum bet) and big blind (the minimum bet). After the blinds are placed, players have the option to ‘call’, which is to match the current bet, ‘raise’, which is to increase the bet, or ‘fold’, which is to quit the hand. This continues until all players have called.
Once the initial round of betting is finished, three community cards are revealed. These three cards, along with the two previously dealt hole cards, allow players to determine their best possible poker hand. The players now have the opportunity to re-raise or call, depending on the strength of their hand.
The fourth community card is then dealt, followed by the fifth and final community card. The final round of betting then takes place, and the player with the strongest hand at the end of the round is declared the winner.
