Texas Holdem is a poker game where the aim is to create the best possible five-card hand, using a combination of two hole cards and five community cards.
In Texas Holdem, the order of betting rounds and the availability of a draw round may change depending on the version of the game. In the British Virgin Island's mobile casinos, the standard version of Texas Holdem is used, which consists of two blinds (forced bets pre-flop), four betting rounds (Pre-Flop, Flop, Turn, and River) and no ‘drawing round’.
In the Pre-Flop, all players are dealt two hole cards each, and the two players to the left of the dealer must post blinds, before the round of betting begins. All bets during the Pre-Flop must be equal to the amount of the small blind. After the Pre-Flop, three cards (community cards) are dealt face up in the middle of the table. This is called the Flop. The round of betting then ensues.
The fourth community card (the Turn) is then dealt, and a second round of betting occurs. The last card known as the River card is then dealt, and the final round of betting ensues. After each round of betting, the remaining players must ‘Showdown’ to determine the winning hand. The best possible five-card hand wins.
