Punto Banco is a popular casino game, also known as Baccarat, that dates back to the 19th century. It is one of the most popular and easily accessible mobile casino games for Tanzanians. Punto Banco is a card game played between two hands: the ‘player’ and the ‘banker’. Players place their bets on either the ‘player’, ‘banker’, or a ‘tie’.
In Punto Banco, the player and the banker both receive two cards which are added together to make combinations. The values are then compared and the person with the higher total wins the game. If both the player and the banker have the same total, it is considered a ‘tie’.
Players can also stand on their two card total of 6 or 7, or ‘hit’ to add another card. The value of an ace is 1, the value of cards 2 to 9 are the same as their face value, while 10, Jacks, Queens, and Kings all have a value of 0.
