Punto Banco is a card game available in most mobile casinos in Lebanon. It is also known as North American baccarat, which is the same game, but with slightly different rules. This variant of the game is offered mostly in Europe, but is increasingly available in Lebanon. The aim of the game is to predict which hand will be closest to “nine”. To understand the game better, it is important to learn its rules.
In Punto Banco, there are two hands - the Punto, which belongs to the player, and the Banco, which belongs to the house. Both hands receive two cards at the start of the game. After receiving the cards, the player can either stay or draw a card, depending on the value of the cards received. Aces are worth one, faces are worth zero, and all other cards are worth their value.
The goal of the game is to get as close to nine as possible. If the player’s cards total to nine, it is known as “Natural” and the player wins. If the house’s cards total to nine, it is known as “Natural” and the house wins. If the total exceeds nine, it becomes invalid and the player will have to draw another card. If the values of the cards match, the croupier will decide who wins. If either player or house receives a 7 or 8 as the result of the initial dealt cards, it is known as Standoff and the round is over. Otherwise, the player can draw another card.
