Punto Banco is a casino game that is widely available in El Salvador and its mobile casinos. The game is based on the classic Italian card game Baccarat. The rules of Punto Banco are straightforward and easy to understand. In this game, there are three main bets, the Punto (Player), Banco (Banker) and Egalite (Tie). The main objective of the game is to predict which bet will win.
To start the game, each player receives two cards which are then combined to determine the winner. The winner is decided by the card totals and is determined by the following three conditions:
• If the Player’s cards add up to 7 or higher, the Player wins.
• If the Banker’s cards add up to 7 or higher, the Banker wins.
• If the Player and Banker each have cards totaling 7 or higher, the Tie bet (Egalite) wins.
If no one is able to reach the total of 7 or above, then the Player and Banker may opt to draw a third card. The third card is based on a set of rules that determine which of the two sides will receive the additional card.
