Punto Banco is a variant of popular card game baccarat, which is found in many land-based and online casinos around the world. Similar to traditional baccarat, Punto Banco is a popular choice for Bulgarian mobile casinos. The Punto Banco variant of baccarat uses eight standard decks of cards, shuffled together and placed in a shoe. Before the game begins, bets are placed on either the Banker's hand, the Player's hand, or a Tie.
When playing Punto Banco at Bulgarian mobile casinos, the game begins with the player receiving two cards face up and the Banker receiving two cards, one face down and one face up. The goal is to get a higher-scoring hand than the Banker, which is calculated with the following card-value system: all face cards are valued at zero, aces are valued at one, and all other cards are at face value. The hand value closest to nine wins. If the Player or the Banker has a two-card total of 8 or 9, the game is over, and the relevant Player wins. Third cards may be drawn in the following cases:
- If the Player’s hand totals 0–5, the Player must draw a card;
- If the Player stands, the Banker must draw a card on totals of 0–5 and stand on totals of 6 or 7;
- For the Banker, when playing at Bulgarian mobile casinos, the third-card rules are determined by the third card drawn by the Player.
