Pai Gow is an ancient Chinese domino game that has been popular since the 19th century. It is one of the most popular casino games in Macau. The game is similar to the Western version of poker but has its own unique rules. Pai Gow is usually played with a set of 32 dominos. In the Macau version of the game, each of the players is dealt 7 dominos. The aim of the game is for the players to form two hands – 4 dominos that make up the lower hand, and 3 dominos that form the higher hand. The higher hand must beat the lower hand for the player to win. A specific set of rules is followed in determining which combination of dominos is the winning hand.
