The rules of mobile Pai Gow in Azerbaijan are relatively simple, following the same basic conventions as the classic table game. The objective is to create two winning hands out of your seven cards, one five-card and one two-card hand.
Mobile Pai Gow is typically played with six players plus a dealer, who competes against every member of the table. Before the game begins, all players must ante up by placing a minimum bet at the table. Each player then receives seven cards which they must use to create two hands. The five-card hand needs to be higher than the two-card hand. Tips for players include not splitting fours, fives, or tens, since this is usually a losing move. Once all players have created their hands, they compare them to the dealer's which are placed face-up on the table.
The dealer must follow certain rules when creating his or her own hands, such as splitting two pairs with one going to the two-card hand and the other to the five-card hand, and making sure the five-card hand ranks higher than the two-card hand.
