Blackjack, one of the most popular and commonly played casino games in Gibraltar, is based on the basic rules of the traditional game. The aim is still to beat the bank (dealer) by obtaining a hand of cards in total value that exceeds the dealer’s score without going over 21.
In the mobile version of Blackjack, two decks of 52 cards are used and they are shuffled after each deal. The player is initially dealt two cards while the banker is dealt one card face up and one card face down. After the initial deal, the player can either hit (take one or more cards to improve their score) or stand (stop taking more cards).
If, after drawing cards, the player’s score is higher than the banker’s, the player wins and is paid 1:1. In case the banker’s score is higher than the player’s without going over 21, the banker wins. If both hands total 21, the banker wins. In the case of a tie (both hands have the same total score) the player’s bet is returned but no additional payment is made.
